Holy crap the in game terran music is fairly well done.

What does everyone else think?

I think the protoss and zerg could certainly use better tracks :)

I think the music is all around great. Definitely gets me in the mood to swarm some unsuspecting base. Even if you don't like it, it can be put to the back of your mind and ignore it. Unlike a lot of games where I have to turn off the music because it bothers me so much it's a distraction..

I like all the music a lot but when I'm torn between which race to use I usually end up picking terran for the music.. haha

I hated the Terran music at first, but now I love it! I've played about 35 games, all random, and I've only gotten Protoss 5-6 times, so I can't remember their music.... I like Zergs though too.

(Oh and ditto on the Firefly thoughts... wicked show too)

I have to admit this is the first Blizzard game that I did not immediately disable the music. Yes, I'm including all of their PC games. :P

I actually dislike the in game terran music the most. The zerg and protoss are good for me though.

i liked the sc1 terran music the most but the new terran music is growing on me.. still i can't help but feel it could be more.. technoish. metal. like the old one. it's not vastly different. it just feels more countryish now.

I really enjoy the new Terran music the most. It fits the race and style quite well. Same with the Protoss and Zerg, but I really love the melodic style of the Terran tracks. All in all, each track fits its faction extremely well. Just like in SC1!

I like the music overall but I've noticed that the protoss music has a short section that sounds like distant marine fire. The first several times I heard it I actually thought I was under attack. Now it still makes me scan the minimap for red dots and should probably be changed.

Used to dislike the Terran music before I played the game (having come upon the unofficial soundtrack from an undisclosed location), but now I really dig it. It actually makes very nice driving music.

Zerg is by far my favorite. Reminds me of Nine Inch Nails or any other industrial noise track you can think of. Protoss seem like they are missing music, and the themes/montages shift very often.

EDIT: I do think there should be more brass-filled tunes for the Terran, like that death march one in BW. Yes, Terran music should be more horny. And more doof-doof (techno).

I found the new terran music to be absolute garbage the few times I've turned the volume up.

Does it change based on map? I might have gotten unlucky and chosen the hillbilly map.

Terrans need epic guitar riffs like the original Terran music. They don't need fiddle-solos.

It doesn't sound like music for war or a battle at all, the SC1 terran music captured this.

If they are going to keep the western theme (which I dislike anyway) they need to at least make it up tempo and intense.

All of the music is great, even though Protoss only have one track so far. Each track captures the mood of the race perfectly.

To those complaining that the music is too dull and doesn't get you worked up, the Terran soundtrack has some epic moments. Not to mention that most of the time in SC1 when you're fighting it was playing the lifeless ambient portion of the soundtrack, and playing techno and guitar riffs when you're making SCVs.

I play only Toss and I wish I could choose to listen to Terran music! It s so good... I love watchin Terran perspective streams because I get to jam out watchin the 'top players' and trash em in my head while they play.

example: "Phh, woulda had a proxy right there, and warped my DTs in right there, and you'da been toast. Continue on anyway."

Only reason I keep watchin em is cuz of the music.
