I am getting tired of calling the Terran Marine/Maurander/Medivac ball. MMM etc. I think we need a better name for it. So this thread is dedicated to making a new nickname for it.

Also, feel free to come up with nicknames for other strats.

I like Meatwad, or flying meatball.

Meatball is pretty hilarious... meatwad is just too strongly associated with ATHF for me to use it for anything SC related... But:

"MMM ball" is just descriptive. I propose we keep the spelling, but from here on out, pronounce it aloud as "Meatball..." since MMM doesn't have any pronunciation that's as smooth as "meat."

I'm not clever enough to come up with one, but whatever it is, it should appropriately condescending in nature, implying the person who did it to you somehow noobed you, or otherwise lacked skill. No, I don't believe that's true, I just think that most catchy phrases like this usually work that way. Like saying someone "noob tubed" you with a rocket launcher.

I agree, it doesnt really matter. Why does it need a new official title? Just call it what it is. Marines, Marauders, Medivacs, acronymed into MMM.

I think you people are missing the point. This thread is for fun, it was made to give a name that is supposed to characterize what the ball looks like and how people view it as nub. I was looking for other steriotypical names as well.

I like meat ball. If you've ever tried to talk out loud, in real life, w/ a lot of these internet acronyms, you'll quickly realize how ridiculous it sounds. You can have a bunch of crazy acronyms for internet forums, but realize quickly that you'll need better, hipper slang for when you are out in the real world. 3M is a chemical company. But meat ball is a funny, condescending nickname.
