Fan backlash at new Zerg voice..Glynnis back?

Is there any chance we could see Glynnis Talken back? Or atleast get an explanation as to why she was not brought back and replaced with an actress that doesnt fit the role? As shown by everyone having problems with the zerg voice.

From what I've heard the Zerg advisor voice isn't Kerrigan. But whether it is or isn't, I've been lobbying for a while now for Blizz to stay consistent and not alter a core character for the sake of name recognition. It really shows how little they respect their own work.

The voice is the Queen of the Hive not Kerrigan.

she was not asked, and she expressed interest and offered to do it at normal wages

I don't think the Adviser voice is even suppose to be a Queen, just meant to sound creepy/"Zergy" and different from the Overmind voice from the last game for continuity's sake. Be odd if, 4 years after its death, the Overmind was still telling us to Spawn More Overlords.

And either way... Blizzard probably has most if not all of the single-player dialogue scripted and recorded at this point, and even went out of their way to announce some of the voice actors at the last Blizzcon. They're not gonna change now. We're stuck with Helfer whether you like it or not.

I posted a response to an email I sent her asking about this in the first Glynnis thread on the GDF, saying she offered to do it for THREE FIGURES. Less than 1k, according to her. Blizz turned her down.

Here's the exact reply.

Id wait. They say they don't want the game to ship with mistakes. Well trying to sell more copies based on battlestar gallactica name dropping is a mistake in my book.

Bring back the better actress, and the better continuity.

That's not what im talking about. Even with a new voice actor, they aren't going to completely change the way she talks. The advisor is not Kerrigan as they previewed Helfers voice already as Kerrigan.

I'm not taking sides whether glynnis or helfer is better sounding.

But I think your doing the wrong comparison.
The blizzcon 08 trailer is the one with zeratul in full cinematic quality.
The in game graphics zerg introduction trailer is the one voiced by helfer.

So compare video 2 with video 3. Not video 1 is helfer.

you're not thinking like an activision execu-bot. they are the ones calling the shots now. hence, a 'map marketplace' and no lan play and 'gosh those nerds sure do love BSG, I bet I'll sell more copies If I can throw a "with trica helfer of bsg" bullet point to slap on the back of the box". I'm surprised SC2 wasn't based on a subscription model, since that is the CEO's wet dream. I wouldn't be suprised to see diablo3 ship with a AC2 style drm scheme.

not sure how you're getting them mixed up. the "in game graphics zerg introduction trailer" was released march 08, and had glynnis. the blizzcon 08 trailer with zeratul was October 2008, and is in fact helfer.

Honestly, the new one with Glynnis sounds similar to Tricia Helfer's. I would have rather had Glynnis back, I distinctly remember her voice from SC1 ("I'm waitin' on you."), but I'll take Tricia. Her voice seems to fit as well.

The advisor voice is annoying, but I don't really notice it anymore.
