For thoes who use mouse only, It would be very very useful and much more fun if you allowed shift command on a mouse. Since most mouse come with 4 buttons be nice to put them to use.

Shift command is an important part of SC2 and mouse users should be able to use it.

Please consider Blizzard.

You can get by fine with a mouse in SC1, and in SC2 we now have shift and that needs to be added to a mouse command.

Some people rather use mice then keyboards. And a simple tweak like this will make the game all the better. Even keyboard users would utilize it.

You need a gameing mouse where you can actually program all those fancy extra buttons.

And unless you are using the mouse with both hands i dont see why you cant use the other hand to hit ONE key.

Console games require 2 hands. All it is, is one simple change that would make the game so much better for people who have only 1 hand or for thoes who like to only use 1 hand.

I agree with you that adding the ability to bind certain things to your mouse would be a good feature, but SC1 had shift (and other reasons to use your keyboard) as well.

no offence, but if your a mouse only person i wouldnt see why you would ever need shift... you wouldn't be fast enough(IMO)to take true advantage of the shift key.

For the record.... I want them to add a feature where i can type with my mouse... that way i can play with my bawls and type to people :P

Your right SC1 had shift. But SC2 now has more uses for Shift. May it be to build multiple buildings or to send worker back to mining when finished building. Those you could not do in SC1.

I'm fairly sure you could send them back to mine with shift in starcraft 1. Which leaves only multiple buildings production.

Mouse-only starcraft sounds frankly stupid. Why would you gimp yourself like that? Starcraft 2 makes it much easier to play with only the mouse, but if you're not even going to make the effort to press down the shift key, then you're just wasting an entire hand.

No you could not go back to mining, at least not with terran.

Its not that hard of a thing to add I sure...

Most 4/5 button mice come with software that allows you to bind any keyboard key to your mouse. so you can bind shift to you side mouse button.

You could set a single waypoint after telling a unit to build, including SCVs (as long as you set the waypoint before it started building and locking the SCV). I know this because I constantly set my SCV to rally to one side of a supply depot so he wouldn't get stuck on the other side.

And those aren't more uses for shift. It's the same use under "setting waypoints", just with the build command able to be queued.

I mean, sure if you just want to play the game you could do it with just a mouse

but good luck winning against decent players without using a keyboard

hot-keys and control groups really are essential

maybe you could get away with clicking in WoW, but not in any serious RTS ever

edit for clarity: you need BOTH mouse and keyboard
