How's your PC handling SC2? On mine I selected the highest settings and not a single stutter that I noticed. Kudos to the SC2 programmers!

Post your graphics cards and stuff too, that will make this thread a lot better.

I have a Core2Duo, 6 gigs of ram, and an nVidia 8800GT, and High runs without any stutter. Ultra has minor stutter, but I may have had a program or two open in the background. Excellent performance overall.

6gb ram, i7 920, geforce 295gtx, everything ultra/maxed (desktop)

4gb ram, forgot cpu, ati 4570 (i think), medium no lag, (high and ultra lags) (sony sr 13.3' laptop)

looks good, waiting on the new alienware m11x and hopefully that runs sc2 all on ultra with no lag :)

Intel Xeon X3210 @ 2.33ghz (333FSB X 7)
ATI 4870 1GB GDDR5
2GB Ballistix 1066 4-4-4-12
Abit IP-35 Pro

The game runs very smooth on a mix of mostly ultra with some high settings, it's what the game automatically picked.

Used to have a 640MB 8800GTS but it started artifacting all over the place and (surprisingly) EVGA would not honor my lifetime warranty as I forgot to register the product within the first month (stupid policy IMHO). But anyways the ATI card handles it fine and my quad-core Xeon seems to be operating with all four cores doing work, which is great as I love to see new games thread across cores.

I should probably put this in the suggestions forums (is there even one?) but it would be nice if there was a simulated game with intense fighting that we could benchmark setups across similar to like Lost Planet's benchmark simulation.

Whatever they did with the graphics coding they did incredibly well.

im using a late 2008 Macbook pro via bootcamp.
dont have my exact spec's on hand, bcz im at work.
2.4ghz core 2 duo
2 gig ram
nvidia 9600m GT
Win7

But i originally had it all at Ultra, but it was a little laggy, so then i moved it to High.
then my game got all sorts of messed up, and ending up going to black screen then crashing.

so i logged back in, and changed to Medium and it played fine. i did alt + tab so that may have been what caused my error. (that and i did have some windows updates that needed to be applied, i haven't logged into windows in awhile)

So im going to go home, and try it on High again.

Anyone else out there using a MBP via bootcamp to play? id like to know your performance.

My main computer runs it maxed no problem.
c2d e8500

My laptop is probably of more interest
c2d t6670 (2.2GHz)
geforce 9300M GS

This is a low-powered GPU, so I expected it to run a lot slower. At lowest settings, it seems to run fine. At medium settings, it runs pretty good usually, but I get small pauses from time to time. It does run though. ;)

But judging on what's going on in this thread so far, the computer i should be getting next week:

AMD radeon 5770 gfx
core i7 processor

Should run it on ultra without a kick.

Highest settings (Ultra?):

Win 7 64-bit

nothing stellar obviously but husband and I have almost the same stats and it runs great at native res (22 and 24 " widscreens)

The game still looks pretty nice but for some reason I have a suspicion maybe some stuff is turned off?

Wait, SC2 doesn't support 2 vid cards in SLI? Does that mean SC2 is only taking advantage of 1? Isn't SLI implemented by drivers from Nvidia/ATI? I'm not exactly sure, but from what I underestand any game you play is taking advantage of 2 video cards as long as you have the right video drivers installed.

running the game on 2560x1600 on ultra

I've noticed some screen tearing & the shadows when creating buildings flicker oddly (definitely not intended). I also seem to be getting some sort of crash every 5 or so games. My graphic cards just fail to respond and have to do a hard reboot. This is new to me and only experienced in Starcraft 2. I'm running the newest drivers on W7 x64.

My roommate played about 30+ hours of dragon age on my machine last weekend and never even shut down my computer. So this is something Starcraft 2 related :(

AMD Phenom II X3 @ 3.31ghz
8gb ram
ATI 4870x2
32" LCD 1680x1050

to note tho if i let the game go idle the screen starts glitching in and out in the main lobbies. When I join a game after the previous has happened the game slows down tremendously untill I alt tab out. This eventually leads to having to restart the game. I tried updating the drivers to my video card last night but this seems to have made the issue slightly more frequent. (ill post that in the bug forum now.)

I have a Macbook Pro (mac represent?):
2.5ghz T9300 C2D
8600M GT w/ 512mb VRAM.
4gb DDR2.

Runs it fine (50-60fps) on medium (with a few settings turned up).

I run this on Windows 7 btw, I can also run it fine on lowest detail in an XP virtual machine, which is surprising. It freezes every now and then for a second or two, but otherwise it works well.
